Half an hour. A place to start.

Make the task smaller and the time clearer, without turning focus into a race.

Start with a task, not the whole project.

“Launch a podcast” is a project. “Write three talking points for episode one” is a task you can start now. A specific outcome makes it easier to begin.

Give it a clear boundary.

Inspired by Parkinson’s law—the idea that work can expand with the time available—try giving a small task half an hour. This is a practical experiment in focus, not a promise that all work takes thirty minutes.

When time is up, review.

Did you reach the outcome you chose? Complete the task. If not, name what remains. You may need another session or a smaller task. The point is a clearer next step, not rushed work.
