1. Who we are and scope
This policy applies to the Samt app, its website, and related support services (together, “Samt”). Samt helps organize projects and turn ideas into practical daily tasks.
2. Data we process
Account information: when you sign in, we may process an account identifier, name and email supplied by Apple, a phone number when using phone sign-in, and a profile image if you add one. Accounts support synchronization and collaboration.
Project content: project titles, descriptions, steps, tasks, durations, progress, execution notes, and related settings.
Collaboration: account identifiers, participant names and profile images, invitations, and permissions. This may include iCloud information when CloudKit sharing is used.
AI planning: when you use smart planning, the project title, description, steps, duration, and language are sent through Samt’s server to the AI provider to create a plan. A random installation identifier and network address help enforce usage limits and prevent abuse.
Device preferences: app language, appearance, planning preferences, and a random installation identifier are stored locally. Support messages include your email and any information you choose to send.
Permissions, subscriptions, and website data
Voice input requires microphone and speech-recognition permission. Apple’s speech service processes audio into text; processing may occur on its servers depending on the device and language. The resulting text may be sent for AI planning when you use that feature. Visiting the website does not enable these permissions. Notifications are optional and can be changed in device settings.
Apple processes payments and subscriptions. The app processes product and entitlement information to enable subscription access; we do not receive your payment-card details. Website hosting may process technical request data, such as network addresses and security logs, to deliver pages and protect the service. The website does not add advertising trackers.
3. How we use data
We use data to operate the app, save projects, generate plans at your request, enable sign-in and sharing, prevent abuse, provide support, and improve reliability and usability. We do not sell your data, use targeted advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
4. Storage and service providers
Projects are stored locally. When you sign in, project and sharing data are synchronized with your account through Supabase. Projects shared through iCloud may be processed by Apple CloudKit.
Supabase supports authentication, profiles, project synchronization, invitations, and participants. OpenAI processes AI-planning requests. We send the information needed for the plan when you use the feature; Samt’s server requests that the provider not store the planning response.
Providers may process data in different countries under their applicable terms and legal and security safeguards.
5. Sharing and disclosure
We share information only with providers needed to operate Samt, people with whom you choose to share projects, when required by a valid legal obligation, or to protect users’ rights and service safety.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain information as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You can delete projects in the app and remove local app data by uninstalling. You can request account deletion in app settings or contact support for help. Uninstalling alone does not delete cloud account data or cancel an Apple subscription. Limited copies may remain for a reasonable period in backups or logs required for security and compliance.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your data, or withdraw consent. Contact us to exercise your rights; we may request appropriate information to verify your request.
8. Security and children
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no transfer or storage method is completely secure. Samt is not directed at children below the legal minimum age in their country, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Samt evolves. We will publish the current version and date here and provide additional notice of material changes where required. For questions or privacy requests, contact hello@trysamt.app.
